The Union Juvenile Residential Facility serves 24 males between the ages of 12 and 19, in a non-secure residential commitment program that provides specialized programming to youth with a documented need for sexual offender treatment services, based upon a psychosexual assessment.  The program provides sex offender treatment, including individual, group, and family therapy.

The anticipated average length of stay depends on the youth's pace of success in completing the individualized treatment plan and goals. Clothing and hygiene products are provided but youth may  bring underwear and athletic shoes.

Union Juvenile Residential Facility is a Type 3 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Union County School District. Vocational opportunities include construction.
