The Youth Environmental Services (YES) program enhances rehabilitation efforts through environmental education, academic education, a variety of vocational and life-skills training, mental health overlay services, and behavioral health services. The YES program is performance based, stresses academic achievement, appropriate behavior, a positive attitude and excellence in performance.

Every youth at YES has the opportunity to increase his school grade level and/or prepare for and take his GED®. He can earn American Red Cross certifications in first aid, CPR, basic water safety and life guarding. A requirement for successful completion is a confirmed placement in either full time school or employment or a combination of both. The program provides on-site mental health and substance abuse services.

The youth must provide his own clothing. The anticipated average length of stay depends on the youth's pace of success in completing the individualized treatment plan and goals.

Youth Environmental Services is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Hillsborough County School District. Vocational opportunities include: Florida Ready to Work.
