The Okeechobee Juvenile Offender Corrections Center Sex Offender Program (OJOCC-SOP) provides specialized juvenile sex offender treatment services to high- and maximum-risk males, as well as delinquency intervention and mental health treatment services.  OJOCC-SOP is co-located with the Okeechobee Juvenile Offender Corrections Center (OJOCC)

This specialized treatment program for high-risk juvenile sex offenders incorporates the practice standards and ethical guidelines of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). The program services include, but are not limited to, a cognitive-behavioral treatment approach and evidence-based programs providing services including but not limited to case management, individual and group counseling, educational and vocational assessments and training, cultural events, physical and recreational activities, routine medical and dental treatment and aftercare preparation.

The anticipated average length of stay for a high-risk commitment is between 12 and 18 months.  The anticipated average length of stay for a maximum-risk commitment is between 18 and 36 months.  Clothing, shoes and uniforms are provided by the program.

The OJOCC-SOP is a Type 3 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. Career and technical opportunities include Culinary Arts and Business Education courses.

Academic services are provided through a contract between the program and the Okeechobee County School District.

This program serves as a GED® test site.
